Edward Lyszkiewicz* graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1986 after obtaining his B.F.A. from the University of Alberta. On his return trip to Vancouver, Ed stopped off in Toronto for a couple of years to article and work. He was called to the bar in Ontario in 1988. He then resumed his journey west and became a member of the Law Society of British Columbia the following year. He has worked in insurance defence and personal injury law since 1986.
Ed joined Swadden & Company as a partner in 2010.
During his many years of practice in the Lower Mainland, Ed has handled a wide variety of cases and appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia. He has conducted trials, including jury trials, and has attended mediations and arbitrations, involving brain injuries, orthopaedic injuries, chronic pain, and psychological injuries. Ed is a skilled negotiator and a qualified arbitrator. His practice is not confined to motor vehicle accidents, and he is available for consultation on a variety of civil matters.
Ed lives with his family in Vancouver and volunteers his time in various ways, including assisting the Adoptive Families Association of BC, of which he was Chair of the Board of Directors for two years, and the Scouts and coaching basketball. Ed is a member of the Law Societies of British Columbia and Upper Canada.
