Ron Hatch received his law degree from The University of British Columbia in 2000, after completing a Bachelor of Economics, with distinction, at the University of Victoria. Toward the end of his law degree, Ron spent two years in Toronto where he completed a visiting term at the University of Toronto Law School, worked for a boutique class action litigation firm, and served as a law clerk to the Justices of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Ron returned to Vancouver to article at a leading full service law firm and was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2002. Ron joined Swadden & Company in 2015.

Ron has had a diverse practice focussed on civil litigation and administrative law, including personal injury, insurance, professional regulation, commercial litigation, construction defects, real estate litigation, products liability, professional liability, debtor-creditor disputes, and employment law. Currently, Ron's practice is focussed primarily on insurance defence in addition to assisting private lenders in the recovery of loans in default.

Ron is a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross Disaster Management Program. Outside of the office, Ron enjoys spending time with his family, as well as hiking, kayaking, and decompressing on the yoga mat.
